Federal Tours

Banknote 2009 participants will enjoy tours of U.S. government agencies key to the regulation, design & production and distribution & authentication of United States currency. For details concerning the timing of these tours, please see the Agenda Page.

US Bureau of Engraving and Printing

The U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) produces all U.S. paper currency and many other security documents, including 35 million notes a day with a face value of about $635 million. Its larger mission includes extensive efforts in the area of counterfeit deterrence. The Banknote 2009 Tour will provide participants with a first-hand look at the BEP's automated production process, printing procedures, counterfeit deterrent measures, and more.

U.S. Federal Reserve Bank (Baltimore)

The "Baltimore Fed" is a key part of the U.S. Federal Reserve System, which is the central bank of the United States. The space-limited Banknote visit to the Baltimore Fed will include lunch and a tour of the facility's cash operations.

National Museum Tour

Instead of the Federal Reserve tour, delegates are invited to a guided tour of either the National Gallery of Art or the National Air & Space Museum.

Industry Exposition

Banknote 2009 will feature an exposition hall, showcasing our sponsors—leaders in all aspects of the banknote and security printing industry.

Please note that exhibition opportunities (and all other marketing opportunities) are strictly limited to conference sponsors and select government agencies. While major sponsorships for Banknote 2009 are fully subscribed, if your organization is interested in joining the elite group of Banknote 2009 conference sponsors as a supporting sponsor, please email tpoole@banknoteconference.com or jhanley@banknoteconference.com.
